Product Details
Outer Sleeve, cards & Posters-
The outer sleeve is in what I would estimate to be in “very good” condition for what is a 20 year old album.
There some scuffs and creases here and there on both the back and front covers. These are visible in the attached photos.
There are no rips or splits in the outer sleeve, but the corners are slightly rubbed from shelf storage.
*I taken as many as possible so please check carefully.*
The hype card, posters and postcards are all present and unused or damaged.
The vinyl-
It is glossy and black. There is some slight and very light scuffing on the vinyl, but none of these interfere with playback. (Please see photos)
I have played the record through on my Rega Planar 6 turntable.
Side 1.
There are some very light background crackle during the first 20 seconds or so of the quiet lead into the heartbeat during “Speak to me”.
“Breath” sounds great.
“On the Run” excellent.
Again there is a tiny bit of background crackle during the intro to “Time” & also the quieter segments of Clare Tory’s vocal performance during “The Great Gig in the Sky.
Side 2.
“Money” is clear and vibrant. The saxophone jumps out at you.
During a 10 second segment of “Us and Them” there is small amount of popping that is barely noticeable. Again the Saxophone is front stage.
The rest of the album just sounds amazing with little to no crackle.
There are no skips or jumps anywhere on the album.
I am confident that if the vinyl is ultrasonically cleaned the majority of the above would be eliminated.
The overall sound quality and soundscape are truly impressive . The vocals are clear and instrument separation is amazing. There is a 3D audio to the sound quality to the album.
The vinyl would be considered near mint if not for the highlighted slight imperfections.
Please note that I am being very critical and conservative in my grading. I want to give as much detail as possible. It is after all a 20 year old album.
I am offering this album at a very competitive price and believe it would be a great part of any Pink Floyd vinyl collection. Sold as seen.
Postage will be via recorded delivery. International postage available. The album will be stored a poly sleeve placed within a heavy duty Record Envelope.
Reasonable offers considered.
