Pink Floyd – The Dark Side Of The Moon
A USA "Specialty" pressing, from Specialty Records - Capitol Records USA (5th issue) Black Capitol labels, with a rainbow ring. comes with both of the original posters. A Green tinge pyramid poster, and the "group in concert" poster Also has the original square poly inner sleeve.All is in fantastic original condition. The gatefold cover is Excellent, with some light surface wear to the laminate.
The original posters are Near Mint. both are original, and both look like new.
The original square poly inner sleeve is Near Mint. The labels are Near Mint. The vinyl is Near Mint. The audio is Near Mint.
A USA "Specialty" pressing, from Specialty Records
There is a certain highly defined sound to this Specialty Records pressing, and there is a type of American country music twanginess to some of the guitar sections, and it sounds superb. It is a little different to what I am used to, with most of my personal copies coming from the UK or Japan, this is on of the few USA pressings I do give a high credit to, though there are some very subtle differences in the mastering, making it a bit like the 2003 30th anniversary pressing.... slightly different, but in a very good way.
The "0" at the end of B side runout is stamped and appears as Capitol's Jacksonville Pressing Plant stamp (likely that Specialty reused Jacksonville plating for the B side). The SRC logo appears in the A side deadwax The E A S T emboss is on the B side label, around the spindle hole.
Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, London between June 1972 and January 1973.
