Description
This listing is for a rare vintage vinyl LP of the first album by Pink Floyd called The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.
It was released in 1967 by Tower with catalog # ST 5093.
This is a US Stereo 1st pressing of the LP.
This version has the title of track A3 printed incorrectly as "Take Up My Stethoscope And Walk" on both the back cover and label.
I believe this is pressing variation from the Capitol Records Pressing Plant in Scranton, PA as the number "2" printed on the back sleeve.
The record itself is in very good condition with just some light very visible surface scratches. But those haven't dulled the finish much and surface noise is minimal most of the time.
There is also some light dust/dirt and a few finger print smudges, so a thorough cleaning would remove that and probably brighten the sound even more.
If using industry grading I would grade this disc as a very solid VG+ copy.
The sleeve is in what I would call fair condition with obvious visible cover wear on the edges & corners and ring wear, as well as seam split across have of the bottom edge.
There's also an old piece of tape with a number written on it in the upper left corner of the front cover.
I would grade the cover somewhere between a lower end VG or VG- as I don't think it's in bad enough shape to grade it lower than that, but it's all very subjective.
No original inner sleeve is included.
