Pink Floyd - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
Up for auction is a copy of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn by Pink Floyd. An excellent album and the first in Pink Floyd's discography. This particular copy is a Canadian 1971 issue released on the Capitol "red target label" (a part of the Capitol 6000 series) as far as I can tell these pressings are pretty rare and there's only been one that's sold on Discogs. As far as the copy here goes, I've play tested it all the way through and listened carefully for any surface noise or skips. There are no skips as it sounds wonderful. Surface noise is mostly non-existent and the only time I noticed it properly is around 3/4 of the way through the first track on side B, "Interstellar Overdrive", which lasted about 20 seconds and was so quiet relative to the music it's probably not even worth mentioning.
The physical condition is almost perfect, near mint. I'm not a professional grader so this is just my personal opinion. There are some very minor surface marks on side B, and side A is almost flawless with the exception of a hairline scratch. These imperfections are only visible in direct light. The sleeve is also almost perfect. there is minor wear on the corner on the back of the sleeve, (please view pictures and judge for yourself), but considering this is now 48 years old I'd say that it couldn't be any better than this in terms of condition. This copy also comes with its original inner sleeve, which has minor wear in the form of creasing but no split on the bottom which is common with old inner sleeves. The matrix run-out is as follows:

This album has been properly cleaned and will be shipped inside a proper box specifically for vinyl records inside of a protective plastic sleeve.
