You are bidding on a U.S. stereo pressing copy of the Pink Floyd - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn LP released by Tower Records in 1969. This is ST-5093. In the dead wax on Side 1 it is inscribed: ST1 5093 F5#1  and on Side 2: ST2 5093 H6#1. Late 60's striped Tower record labels. There is a 9 printed on the back of the jacket near the lower righthand corner. With this number on the jacket and the matrix numbers inscribed in the dead was we were able to determine that this is the 5th  U.S. stereo pressing of Pink Floyd's classic debut album, pressed at the Capitol Records pressing plant in Jacksonville, Illinois in 1969! The record is in nice VG+ condition. The record labels are in excellent, NM condition. The record jacket is in VG condition with some shelfwear, edgewear, and edgewear. There is a tiny number 4 written in red pen on the front of the jacket near the lower righthand corner. No seam splits!  All around a very nice copy of the album! PLEASE do not ask us for a buy it now price! No reserve, so bid away!

We visually grade all our records for sale and grade both the record and the jacket. We go by general standards for grading, which are:

Mint (M) - an unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects!

Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.

Very Good + (VG+) - record still in excellent condition but has minor signs of wear such as surface scuffs/light scratches that don't affect the play. jacket has minor signs of wear such as light ringwear, edgewear, shelfwear, and/or light creasing.

Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ and may have some slight surface noise, light pops, some scuffs or scratches.  generally still a great playing copy.  jacket may have more wear, writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.

Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, surface noise, scratches, and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy. jacket has heavier wear and may have a small split seam.

Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches.  jacket has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
