Bought by me when it first hit the shop upon Richmond Hill, Surrey in 1967 after Pink Floyd had got it all together.
A much played LP, for I was an avid admirer of theirs having seen them on several surreal occasions at most of their UFO appearances and the Ally Pally bashes. Along with Soft Machine and Arthur Brown's Crazy World, it was the greatest of music in great times. I suppose I stopped listening to Pink Floyd after Syd Barrett left the band for in reality he was Pink Floyd, and it just wasn't the same in his absence. Syd's legacy was this, the greatest of all the Pink Floyd albums.
Condition I would suppose to be average, for I haven't played this in many decades. Nor do I have a player to judge, but I don't recall ever having had an issue with it, only great joy in listening to it.
Apparently all indications are that this is an original 1st pressing. I know I had to wait for its arrival at the aforementioned little record shop back then after reading about its imminent release in Melody Maker. Worth noting in the photos is the absence of "File Under" upon the back cover, top right fold-over. Seemingly this is correct for the first pressing (another listing here - perhaps innocently, declares it to be otherwise)
