Description of the record:

This is a single vinyl album by Pink Floyd called “The piper at the gates of dawn”. This is a 2nd stereo pressing catalogue numberSCX.6157.

Outer sleeve:

The outer sleeve has been graded VG. 2nd press Garrod & Lofthouse laminated front cover with EMI in corner. White non-laminated back with Syd Barrett drawing. At top fold over of back cover it says "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups." At bottom fold over of back cover it says "6709 TPS Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London SX 6157 / SCX 6157" (see pictures).

Inner Sleeve:

The inner sleeve has been graded as Gd; some discolouration and pen marks (see pictures). Reddish brown printing on cream coloured paper. On the front side is the EMI logo at the top centre, with "Add these outstanding LPs to your collection" at the top and "Remember-the new Emitex cleans and preserves your records" at the bottom. On the back side is the EMI logo at the top centre, with " - the greatest recording organization in the world" at the top and "E.M.I. Records (The Gramophone Company Ltd.) HAYES MIDDLESEX ENGLAND Made and Printed in Great Britain".

Labels:

Spindle marks at the centre of the labels otherwise undamaged.

Black Columbia labels with silver text, white EMI logo in small rectangle at bottom. At the top is a white "Columbia" logo in a large rectangle with lines on each side at top. Text around the top edge of the label starts at 8 o'clock and says:

The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited.

Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 7 o'clock and says:

MADE IN GT BRITAIN SOLD IN UK SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS SEE PRICE LISTS

Vinyl:

The record has been pressed in black vinyl and has been graded as VG; some back ground noise but not obtrusive. This is a 2nd stereo issue on “EMI Records Ltd” from 1969. The matrix for side 1 is YAX 3419-1 and for side 2 is YAX 3420-1. The code for the album is SCX 6157.

The record was graded using a Linn Adikt cartridge combined with a Gyger 2 stylus through an audiophile system. For grading definitions see the bottom of this advert.

Packaging:

The record will be packaged appropriately to prevent any damage from occurring during transit. Sealed records are not tampered with; if the records are not sealed then the following steps are taken. Records are removed from the outer sleeve to prevent damage occurring to the records or outer sleeve during transit. If records are housed in customised inner sleeves then the records are removed from the customised inner sleeves and placed in white inner sleeves. This prevents damage occurring to the customised inner sleeves such as seam splits and ring ware during transit.

Posting times:

Items will be posted the next working day after payment has been received or cleared.

Combining Postage & Packaging:

If more than one item is purchased, where possible, postage and packaging will be combined to give the cheapest and most appropriate postal option.

Definitions for Record Grading:

M = Mint

M sleeve: No wear of any kind to the sleeve.

M record: No wear what so ever to the record. Any mint records in this collection will have been played only a handful of times.

Ex = Excellent

Ex sleeve: Some slight wear to the cover; some impression to the cover; no seam splits.

Ex record: Minimal wear; some scuffs; record plays close to perfect.

VG = Very Good

VG sleeve: Some ageing; minor wear to seams or spine; minor creasing, some impression.

VG record: Some surface scratching; some back ground noise but not obtrusive.

Gd = Good

Gd sleeve: Cover in poor condition; seam splits; tears.

Gd record: Surface scratching; back ground noise is obtrusive.
