Description
This is Pink Floyd's 1st album The Piper at the Gates of Dawn in MONO.
Cat.no. SX 6157.
On the blue and black Columbia label from 1967.
I have just replayed this record and can report it plays really well with just a little crackling in the quieter moments. There is the occasional click here and there, one being on the 1st track on side one where my ultra lightweight stylus mistracks for one groove but that is it with no other jumps etc. On my more primitive record player this does not happen due to the higher tracking force.
The vinyl surface is in lovely shiney condition with just one or two careless fingernail marks. The labels are excellent with hardly any spindle trails so must have been handled carefully during its lifetime.
The stampers are 1M and 1 L.
The sleeve is in EX- condition with a little wear to the opening edge and a small nearly invisible repair to the bottom edge. There are a few laminate creases to the front panel. The rear grey panel is a little grubby in places, all of the flaps are intact.
Comes with a sepia EMI ad inner sleeve.
A nice rarity at a good price!
