Description

Pink Floyd were an English rock band that gained popularity in the late 1960's performing in London's underground music scene.  They achieved international acclaim in the mid 1970's with their psychedelic music and elaborate live shows.  "The Wall" is their eleventh studio album, released as a double album in 1979 by Columbia Records.  It was supported by a tour with elaborate theatrical effects, a high wall of cardboard bricks was gradually built on the stage. The album was one of the best-selling in 1980, and Rolling Stones Magazine placed The Wall at  #87 on it's list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.  The album features the bands chart-topping single "Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2".
