Very scarce, much sought after and great condition copy of this classic Pink Floyd double album on Harvest Records. Released in November 1979, the album was distributed worldwide and has since been re-pressed and re-issued in a bewildering number of formats.

This is one of two first UK press variants and I trust the following descriptions will outline all the key features.

Vinyl: Ex Both records. Lovely clean condition, still retaining a remarkable lustre and sheen for their 36 years! Some very light superficial surface marks but nothing at all that affects play. Both discs lie nice and flat on the turntable without any signs of warping. Labels are custom designed with a white brick-wall effect and a navy blue top, each with a Scarfe-drawn caricature. The track listing and label text is in a script font and is either black on white or white on blue. Labels are clean and free from scuffs stains and blemishes. At the 9 o'clock position on each of the labels, there's the record speed, "stereo" , the side indicator, the Album catalogue No (SHDW411) and the appropriate matrix number.

Sleeve: VG+ Showing some signs of age. Heavy gauge card, semi-gloss finish with plain brick wall design front and rear. (Sadly the detachable sticker is missing). Brick wall pattern continued on the inner gatefold, but embellished with the coloured Gerald Scarfe illustrations in the gaps where bricks have been removed. Album credits listed on the right hand sleeve. The main sleeve has seams at both the top and bottom edges, so it has been constructed from two separate pieces of card, one stuck on to the other. (The other variant is made from a single sheet that's wrapped around at the bottom edge and joined at the top)

Stiff card inners with repeated wall design and scripted lyrics. The lyrics as printed do not follow the running order on the album. In the bottom right hand corner of side 2 and side 4 inners, there's the Album Catalogue No (SHDW 411), the pressing number (OC - 15863410/1) and the album matrix number (SHSP4111/2)

The outer sleeve has some age discolouration and light edge wear. Small splits on each of the top edges There's a little sticker residue front cover top right but this apart, in it's in good solid condition.

The inners are both clean and straight, still nice and crisp, although both have slight splits on bottom edges.

It's a good honest copy of a classic double album and a genuine collector's item.
