Description
Pink Floyd - The Wall. 1979 pressed in GB release. I would be amazed if this isnt the cleanest and best overall condition example of an original UK pressing of The Wall for sale on ebay today. From what i can tell its in equal if not better condition than those selling for £400+ right now. Matrix numbers are
Side 1: SHSP 4111 A-4U
Side 2: SHSP 4111 B-3U
Side 3: SHSP 4112 A-3U
Side 4: SHSP 4112 B-2U
There are reasons why it is in such good shape. First and foremost it has solely been in our family since brand new but most of all and to my utmost knowledge, it has not been played in my lifetime ie since 1983! The buyer, my father, never retired and worked too hard and also developed tinnitus thus never found any time to sit and listen to his vinyl leading to zero play of almost all his records over the decades. Net result is the records themselves are near mint showing absolute minimal sign of use as expected. I cannot account for how much play it may have got in its first few yrs though knowing dad i suspect very little. Grading this visually then there is but one very light single hairline scratch that i can see on side four but i simply cant even capture it on my camera and reveal it and i have not been able to see any other marks worthy of mention let alone any concern. They are ruler flat and i can see no evidence of warping which is to be expected as all dads records were stored perfectly out of any sunlight and permanently upright in a well divided custom vinyl storage. I have not got a functioning player right now to test the records but out of my sheer confidence in my fathers meticulous love for things working perfectly i can see no reason why they wont sound as good as you can get once theyve had an obligatory clean because they are 41yrs old after all and still have some dust to be rid of! Moving on, the main outer gatefold jacket has signs of minor wear most notably to the underside where its been maneuvered in the past (ive tried to capture this) but no actual splits to edges or the spine at all. Abit of wrinkling here and there is present around the spine but not its not problematic or too unsightly. The individual inner record printed lyric card jackets are almost devoid of any wear and in conclusion the overall whole packaging is in fantastic condition.
The price thus reflects the condition and history, no offers or further reductions.
Packed safely and shipped safely asap.
