Description
You are bidding on one 1st press U.K. copy of Pink Floyd's The Wall. This is a nice example of a very early release of the album. Unfortunately my camera is pretty mediocre, so I will attempt to point out the imperfections below.
Please note that I have not listened to this particular copy. I am in between turntables and there is no way for me to listen to it now, so any grading is strictly visual.
I do not have much experience with Pink Floyd releases on vinyl. I bought a few copies of The Wall as I love the album and wanted a nice original/early vinyl pressing from the UK. I'm now getting rid of my spares. I will list the imperfections below as they may not all be captured in the attached pictures and I want to ensure they are disclosed.
Features of this copy that point to it being a 1st pressing:
- the outer cover is joined with just one seam along the top
- the brickwork is not aligned at the top or bottom
- no UPC code
- inners have rounded corners, and a cut away at the top
- the order of credits is: David Gilmour, Boz Ezrin, Roger Waters. This was changed for later issues
- Roger Waters is the only credit for "Words and Music". Again, this was changed for later issues
Imperfections:
- there is a small stain on the front cover (you can easily see this in the picture). An attempt was clearly made to clean this and so there is some fading in the brickwork near that area
- the back cover is in excellent shape, with only very minor ringwear and creasing in the corners
- the spine is in good shape except for the top, where there is a tear about 1 inch long
- the seam that holds the back cover together (I guess they used glue) has come apart. A very careful and light application of glue would likely fix this
- the inside of the gatefold cover is in close to near mint shape. I see no imperfections that warrant mention
- the inners are all in great shape, with the odd creasing in a corner. The side 4 side is in the worst shape, with a tiny tear on the upper right side of the cutaway, and some creasing in the left corner. This may not even warrant mention by some, but I want to disclose it
- the vinyl records look to be in excellent shape. There are some minor scuff marks, likely from taking the vinyls out of their inners. Side 4 has the worst of these, it looks like a minor scratch
Not a perfect example to be sure, but in better shape than most I've seen here on ebay.

I will only ship with insurance and signature required - no exceptions can be granted in an effort to save on shipping charges! I have run into problems before with an item not showing up as expected and am not interested in trying that again.
