Description
A 1st issue of the WALL on the UK Harvest label from 1979. Matrix A2/B3/A3/B2. 'TML-M/X'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Please note the original 1st issue cover is easily identified by the absence of the band members names in the brick directly above the 'baby in the cell'. All later reissues mention the band members names in purple in this brick. Also included are the original thick-card round cornered inner sleeves with notches at the top.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few lights marks, but nothing heavy or likely to feature audibly. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a bit of light static in a couple of tracks, and then in the first half of 'Mother' - where it is slightly more noticeable..But not invasive or persistent. A great little player...
Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition and appears to have mostly avoided the usual ageing progress. We can only really make out a small stain at the top of the spine, and perhaps a couple of small marks. The interior is in excellent condition - with no issues. Edge wear is mostly light and only noticeable at the bottom of the opening edges which have split just slightly. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg+) One two inch bottom edge splits. The other with a couple of age spots otherwise aok.
