ABOUT THE PINK FLOYD RECORDS:  For sale is a good selection of Pink Floyd records of varying quality.  The vinyl gradings range from VG to EX+.  Although some of the vinyl does have surface marks the overall playback quality is excellent for all the records with some light crackle or clicks in places (no heavy prolonged scratches), mostly audible on the quiet parts.

This is a 1st press release of Pink Floyd's The Wall double LP from 1979.  Comes in a gatefold cover with two lyric sleeve inners (no barcode on the back cover).  The album has all the distinguishable marks of a genuine 1st press.  The misaligned bricks on the gatefold cover.  The thicker spine than on later presses.  The different credits on the inner gatefold cover (see photos) and inner lyric sleeves.  Heavy cardboard inner sleeves with rounded corners and a nine-inch thumb notch.  Inside of inner sleeves are light brown, later pressings were white inside.  The vinyl is in excellent condition, very bright and shiny, clean with light surface/sleeve removal marks.  The surface marks are probably caused by sleeve removal from the thick card inner sleeves (the vinly is now kept in plain white paper sleeves).  Playback is superb, virtually no surface noise on any of the 4 sides.  The odd bit of light crackle in some places.  An excellent addition of a 1st press 'The Wall' album for any Pink floyd fan.  If you are intending to make a bid please play and listen to the audio of the record to judge for yourself.

Album notes:
Rare original 1st press release on Harvest records (SHDW 4111) from 1979

Credits inside the cover are different from later releases and do not list the members of Pink Floyd. It only says "Words and Music - Roger Waters. Produced by David Gilmour, Bob Ezrin, Roger Waters"

Vinyl notes:
All sides have been played on a Rega RP1 turntable with an Ortofon OM5E cartridge (tracking weight: 1.5g - 2.0g) and listened to on a pair of high end Sennheiser headphones.

A, B, C & D sides:
Virtually no surface noise, excellent playback

In general the vinyl is in excellent condition.  It looks very bright and clean with light surface/sleeve removal marks.  Playback is superb with virtually no surface noise except some light crackle in places.

I tend to be over critical of a records condition as it is not my intention to misrepresent what I am selling.  I want the buyer to feel what they have bought is as described although not everyones opinion of its condition will be the same as mine.

If you have any doubts or questions about this record, please ask me and I will try to be as helpful as I can.
