Original buyer selling vinyl collection from 60s, 70s, 80s. 

I purchased this double album in December 1969. The Harvest labels with no EMI logo are SHDW 1 and SHDW 2. Matrix numbers are Side 1: SHDW 1 A-1, Side 2: SHDW 1 B-2, Side 3: SHDW 2 A-1, Side 4: SHDW 2 B-2. These are the earliest matrix numbers and this is an original first UK pressing. The perimeter text says “The Gramophone Co Ltd” and “Made in Great Britain”. On side 4, the title of song number 2 is misspelt as “GAND” instead of “GRAND”. On the rear of the gatefold sleeve at the end of the printer’s credit London is misspelt as “Londen”. There are plain white paper inners. The album has been protected with a plastic sleeve since purchase. The discs have been gently dry cleaned with a carbon fibre brush to help remove static and dust.

I would grade the vinyl as very good plus and the sleeve as very good. The vinyl is clear and bright with some light marks on Sides 1 and 2 which do not affect the sound quality. There is little discernible surface noise though on Side 3 I did detect a few low level clicks between tracks one (Sysyphus) and two (Granchester Meadows). The sleeve has an uncrushed spine, there is some ring wear and a little fraying to the opening edges

Also important to note is that the photos on the inner of the gatefold have been put in upside down. Maybe not a unique manufacturing fault but I haven’t seen any other seller mention this!

As this is a valuable album it will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm in Lil CLP rigid cardboard protective packaging specifically designed for vinyls. I’ll also supply a new Goldring Exstatic anti-static inner sleeve.
