UMMAGUMMA ( Special double album )
EMI/HARVEST SHDW 1/2
Rare UK 1st Pressing of this classic double album with both studio and live performances ! housed in the original laminated outer, matt inner gatefold cover, correct issued inner sleeves and earliest issued vinyls without the EMI logos and the label error for Grand, spelt Gand.
Top example of this barely played rarity !
Although the sleeve notes say that the live material was recorded in June 1969, the first disc of Ummagumma was recorded live at Mothers Club, Birmingham, on 27 April 1969 and the following week at Manchester College of Commerce, on 2 May 1969; the second disc included four solo segments, one half-side of vinyl each by, in order: Richard Wright, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, and Nick Mason.The band had also recorded a live version of "Interstellar Overdrive" (from The Piper at the Gates of Dawn lp), intended for placement on side one of the live album. The track was dropped at the last minute, some say to maintain the sound fidelity of the record, but numerous test pressings with the original track list were given to friends of the band. Other sources have claimed that the song was dropped because of a conflict over the music publishing rights. It would have been one of only two songs on the record to include Syd Barrett as a writer.
The title name of this release Ummagumma was said to be a slang word used in cambridge by many youngsters / students ' meaning sex'

Sleeve condition: Mint- (Stunning example with beautiful laminate,sharp edges with no feathering and revealing the tan coloured carded inside.Perfect spine with only a light unavoidable crease from opening aswel as pristine unmarked corners, truly amazing condition Final Up-Grade.
Vinyl condition: Visualy EX/ EX/ EX / Mint- ( Sides 1,2,3 have just a very faint non feelable hairline, very hard to notice and otherwise superb glossy mirror like playing surfaces ! Side 4 is near perfect,a lovely barely played example !)
Audibly Mint- ( All tracks play through with crisp and clear audio and just a hint of static like contamination inbetween tracks, basically dust noise. Otherwise stunning barely played example with no distractions or groove wear, another top classic )
Label condition: EX to Mint- (no writing or stains present on any label and just one or two spindle marks, earliest versions with no logo , gramophone edge print and printing error , only found on the very first releases before bieng corrected )
Inner: EX+ ( Original issued poly lined inner sleeves , just creases from storage )
