Description
For sale is a very clean 1975 UK first pressing of Pink Floyd’s masterpiece Wish You Were Here.
This is an early first-press copy with the desirable A1/B3 matrices in the dead wax.
It also features the original Waters-Gilmour-Wright songwriting credit on Side 1, Part 5 of “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” (later changed to Waters only) and the correct 3-corner die-cut inner sleeve.
Condition – Over 50 years old and still looking and sounding fantastic:
The gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition. The iconic artwork (with the burning man and the red veil) looks sharp and bright, with only very light edge/corner wear and natural ageing on the matte card. No splits, no writing, no stickers, no heavy ringwear — it displays beautifully.
The original 3-corner die-cut inner sleeve is present and in amazing condition, no edge ware - dare I say it, absolutely mint.
The vinyl is glossy and flat. There are a few very light marks and hairlines visible under light (completely normal and expected on a record over half a century old), but nothing deep.
It plays absolutely brilliant — clean, quiet, and full with excellent sound. A real pleasure to listen to.
This is genuinely one of the nicest examples of this early pressing I’ve seen.
The A1/B3 matrices, original label credits, strong vinyl, and excellent sleeve make it a must-have for any serious Pink Floyd collector.
You won’t find a better copy at this level!
