Description
For sale is a strong 1975 UK first pressing of Pink Floyd’s classic Wish You Were Here.
This is an early first-issue copy with the sought-after A1/B3 matrices in the dead wax. It also has the original Waters-Gilmour-Wright songwriting credit on Side 1, Part 5 of “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” (changed on later pressings) and comes with the correct 3-corner die-cut inner sleeve.
Condition – 50 years old and still a very nice example:
The gatefold sleeve is in solid condition for its age. The iconic burning man and red veil artwork still look striking, with only light edge/corner wear. There is some staining/ageing marks on the matte white outer cover (typical for a 50-year-old record that has been handled and stored over the decades). No splits, no writing, no stickers, and it displays well overall.
The original 3-corner die-cut inner sleeve is in excellent condition.
The vinyl is glossy and flat. There are a few marks and hairlines visible under light (as you’d expect on a half-century-old record), but nothing deep.
It plays absolutely brilliant — clean, quiet, and dynamic with excellent sound. A real joy to listen to.
This is a genuine early first pressing with the key collector details (A1/B3 + original label credits) and strong playback. The sleeve has some honest age-related marks but remains a very respectable copy that will look great in any collection.
