Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here. Release by Harvest (Catalog #SHVL 814). Definitely a reissue but unsure of year. Stereo release. The labels say Made in Germany and the back cover says Printed in Holland. The copyright cited is 1975 EMI Recordings. Printed catalog #s: Spine: 19 6918 1, back cover upper right: 062 19 6918 1 & 19 6918 4; inner sleeve: 19 6918 1, labels: 1 C 064-96 918. Back cover has a barcode: 5099919691817. Runouts are: Seite 1: 96918-A2-C / Seite 2: 96918-B2-C.
The sleeve is a VG+ grade to me. The front has a couple tiny creases but sharp corners, though they are dinged, and retains its gloss with no real edgewear or ringwear. Seams are strong, back cover is also in excellent shape. The original custom printed inner sleeve is present, but I will ship the disc in an audiophile sleeve.
Vinyl also grades VG+ to me. The surface looks very clean from most angles but does have some surface blemishing that does not appear to impact play at all. Play testing the vinyl it performed strongly. There is a tiny crackle at the beginning of side 1, that fades out within the first few seconds of play and then it plays strong VG+ the remaining way through on both sides. (VG+ being the highest grade I give used vinyl). Really an excellent playing disc from my play test (I've also had some static issues causing crackle as it's like the two coldest days of the year here despite my running 2 humidifiers 24/7 and using an anti-static slipmat, etc.).
I think any fan will be very happy with this album, and if you're not for some reason, just tell me and I'll do my best to make it right!
According to Discogs, there are 295 people with this version and 461 want it yet it has never sold before. If I back out to a similar Harvest reissue in 1976 (original release year was 1975) , we see a $54 high, $21 average and $17 median. Another similar Harvest European printed in Holland reissue shows few trades but they're in the $25-45 range. Which is basically a way of saying I don't have a strong opinion on how to price this and am just gonna run an auction to see what's fair.
