Artist Name: Pink Floyd Title: Wish You Were Here Cat number: SHVL 814 Country Of Origin: UK Label: EMI / Harvest Matrix: SHVL 814-A1 / SHVL 814-B5 Comments: Very presentable early original pressing of this iconic album, Still wrapped in it's original stickered shrink wrap after 38 years! Comes complete with original "corner cut" inner sleeve and (substitute) postcard. It's not Mint, but is no means trashed! A great playable copy that still has plenty of enjoyment left. Like all my records, It has been cleaned on a record cleaner to optimise the audio quality and then play graded on an audiophile deck to the UK Rare Record Collector Guide. Please read the listing fully and study the pictures before placing a bid!

Cover Condition: The cover is very presentable and still covered in it's original shrink wrap, which is opened at one end. The shrink wrap over the years has shrunk slightly and become quite tight over the cover, causing the "sniped" spine corners to protrude through the shrink. There is also a 1/2 inch gap in the shrink join in the middle of the spine edge, exposing the perfect spine lettering. The cover, from what you can see sticking out of the shrink, is lovely and white with no wear or grubbiness. The opening edge is nice and straight and still has little "nobbles" present from the original manufacture process. There is one small bump to the front edge towards the bottom of the cover, but doesn't distract from the cover overall appearance.
Overall I would grade the cover to be in a Excellent (EX) condition.                             
Record Condition: Visually under normal day light it shows no marks at all to side 1 and only one mark to side 2 when tilted away from the light. Viewed under a Halogen lamp, Both sides show just a couple of very light inaudible sleeve removal marks, but side 2 track 3 has a fairly large light mark caused by a blunt object, maybe a turntable spindle? This can't be felt with a finger tip and is fairly inaudible (See detailed description below). Apart from that, there are no nasty heavy scratch marks visible. Both of the record labels are clean and bright with no spindle marks, showing that it hasn't been played very much.
                             Upon play testing this album, side 1 plays very well with near perfect audio. It has a quiet run in and intro to the first track which is very delicate. There is great separation within the soundscapes and plays loud and clear. At the start of Part 2 of track 1, there is just the slightest of very low level surface noise heard with 3 very dull and light ticks! 
Overall I would grade side 1 (Only) as Excellent (EX) condition.
                                          Side 2 plays with the same audio quality as side 1, with great separation within the soundscapes and plays loud and clear. The fairly large mark detailed above that affects track 3, causes very light surface noise for some of the mark, but this is mainly in the back of the soundscape and not distracting in anyway in my opinion. It looks far worse, than the affect it has on the audio quality.
 Overall I would grade side 2 (Only) as Very Good Plus (VG+) condition. Strictly graded, taking into account the problem with track 3.               
Extras: Comes with the original "corner cut" inner sleeve with the cat number (no "A" in brackets) in that corner and 45° cut out thumb tab, that only came with early copies of this release. It unfortunately has a split in the bottom seam of approximately 3 inches and a few light creases here and there, but overall is still very presentable and clean and white. This release original came with a "crinkle edge cut" postcard, unfortunately this has been misplaced. Therefore I have added a substitute postcard, this is a straight edge postcard that original came with the Quadraphonic release, so it still very sort after and collectable! It is slight mottled to the front and rear, but still looks very good in my opinion. 
Overall I would grade the Inner Sleeve to be in a Very Good Minus (VG-) condition. Strictly Graded due to the split in the bottom edge.

This LP has been strictly graded and will not turn into anything else, If you are looking for a Mint copy....It is not it! I'm being really picky and honest here with my grading, as I want any prospective buyer to be pleased with their purchase.
