Description
This one is the real deal, not one of the many counterfits out there these days. The only legit copies of this ultra rare promo are on black vinyl. All the other copies on any other color vinyl are fakes.
This promo contains eight songs from Pink Floyd’s November 1979 album the Wall, but the mixes on many of these versions are exclusive to this record. They have never been re-released on any extended CD, box set, etc. That’s why this record is ultra rare.
This is a great copy to consider if you’d love to have this one but they often $800 price tag is too much.
Condition – please read carefully and check out all the pictures. The vinyl plays very nicely with minor pops along the way, but not many and nothing distracting. Conservatively VG
Labels are VG WITH YELLOWING ON EACH SIDE. NOT SURE IF SOMEONE TRIED TO REMOVE SOME WRITING OR A STICKER, BUT YOU’LL SEE WHAT I MEAN IN THE PICTURES. OTHERWISE, THE LABELS ARE CLEAN.
THE COVER HAS THE NAME BURKE WRITTEN ACROSS THE FRONT AND SOMEONE CLEARLY TRIED AND FAILED TO REMOVE IT. The cover also has very tiny splits at each of the top and bottom right seams.
Structurally the cover is fantastic. Does have some minimal ring wear and age mellowing. It’s 45 years old after all!

A number of the tracks are noticeably different than those on the original LP:
A1: cold start at the vocal, without the "can't have your pudding" dialog in the outro, with timing differing from both the LP (3:59) and single (3:11) edits.
A2: shorter running time than what is listed on the promo LP (2:45) and is absent the "look mummy" spoken intro.
A3: cold intro and outro, and missing the 'operator assisted phone call' at the end, but the timing shown is just 2 seconds different than that on the promo LP version (3:27).
B4: Alternate mix missing the live concert effects in the intro, with a longer running time than on the album (4:20) or single (3:41).
