Description
Here's the story about this title The Dark Side Of The Moon is without a doubt one of the most important influential LPs ever recorded in the rock era, but if you are reading this ad you already knew that .I actually saw the Floyd at a concert in NYC at Fillmore east it might have been 1970 . But came away from that show rather unimpressed .If you have ever heard the live album from the recording Umagumma it was pretty much the same set from what I could remember. To morph from that to this recording in 3 years is astonishing. I saw them again in late 73 in a small theater in Waterbury CT. and it was incredible. After about a decade, I learned 1st pressings and deadwax and found a 1st UK pressing in NM condition which was very reasonable compared to it's value today and played it as little as possible I also had the original copy I purchased in 1974 as it turned out a 1st US pressing. In the early 80s I was into the remasters era and bought the MOFI lp which I did not like and since sold it. When this 30th anniversary came out in 03 I bought that one also . In my collection, I obtained a 1st Japanese pressing and a German press also IMO and I have a lot of experience with this LP The 30th is better than any copy I have heard with the exception of the 1st UK. I have never heard a UK 2nd pressing but I have been told this is also extraordinary . This copy is brand new never opened . I purchased it in May of 24 just a month I realized that my hearing loss was becoming more profound and playing loud music was becoming painful . This copy was to become my play copy to replace the one I bought in 03 that over the years acquired a few scratches. At any rate I am not a album dealer just a collector of LPs for57 years that can no longer play them .
