Description

Meddle is the first Pink Floyd LP that I liked , I saw the Floyd In New York in I believe 1970 or 71 and they played nonsense like Be Careful With That Axe Eugene , Interstellar Overdrive and Set The Controls To The Center Of The Sun with Roger Waters banging on Nick Mason's bong like a raging lunatic, absolute nonsense. But in 1971 They came out with an LP that I paid no attention to until a friend told me of a 23+ minute song called Echoes , and always a sucker for improv. tried it out  Now this was way different then what I saw. The first real Pink Floyd song track along with One Of These Days was a harbinger of great things to come .But Echoes was the great track and subsequently saw the band play it live 2 times once in 73 and again in 88.Momentary Lapse Of Reason is the 1st post Waters Floyd recording  and when it came out it got some bad press about not being Floyd enough. There was some great tracks on it though ,Sorrow , One Slip, Learning To Fly ,and On The Turning Away.  I personally really always liked this record and still do.  Both of these albums are 1st US pressings and sound great with 1st pressings the way to go if you want the best sound possible.I had the MFSL pressing some time ago and didn't come to this record.
