Description
You are looking at a very rare find. This is a VERY early UK Mono pressing of Pink Floyd's Piper At The Gates of Dawn. A very similar LP just sold on ebay for $774.71. That buyer got very lucky at that price. I want to point out that that item had a white sticker on the inner sleeve according to the listing, which is unfortunate.
There is no writing, stickers or anything else on any of the parts of this LP.
My item has the original inner sleeve, which has The Beatles Revolver advertised on it.
Grading of records is very subjective. I have included detailed pictures and have pointed out certain issues that any serious collector would need to know. If you would like, I could take additional pictures upon request. I have nothing to hide, and want the buyer of this gem to know exactly what they are getting.
I purchased this LP on ebay in 2005. I played it once and made notes of what I heard. The album plays fine all the way through on each side. There is the minimal crackling that you will hear on any LP from 1967, but there are no sticks, no jumps and no distortion. For those of you that appreciate the sound of vinyl, you will love listening to this classic in its original form. There are a few light whispy marks on each side, with a minor scratch on side 2 that can been seen in the picture. This does not effect play in anyway. The vinyl is glossy and has that original shine as you can see in the pictures.
The flipback cover shows normal yellowing with this being almost 50 years old. The pictures show what needs to be shown. There is NO "file under popular" which also confirms how early of a pressing this is.
There are some minimal spindle marks from normal play, which you can see in the pictures.
The complete matrix information is as follows. For the serious collector, the Stamper Letters of 1-O/1-O show that this is one of the very early UK pressings of this classic LP.
