Description
This is an original 1968 UK first pressing on the Columbia EMI label (SCX 6258). The matrix numbers are YAX 3633-1 on side one and YAX 3634-1 on side two. There are no additional letters in the matrix numbers in the dead wax...which indicates an original first pressing. Later pressings should contain additional letters. The VG++ cover has three minor defects. First, there is some slight darkened ring wear on the upper center of the front cover (see scan). There is a small tear on the right side of the upper flap on the back cover (see scan). The lower edge has the beginning of a seam split on the center about one inch long. The labels have just a few very faint spindle marks. The vinyl grades VG++ overall. It is still bright and glossy, but does have some some small light scuffs and hairlines which can be seen under a strong light source. Side one plays with an occasional random light tic. I don't know if these tics are just in the pressing, but the record does not have any marks or scratches that give repeated successive tics. Overall, this is a very good player copy. As a bonus...this also has the original printed black and white innersleeve with other EMI lps of the day.This copy has a very reasonable reserve. Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding.
