Rare original 1989 UK first pressing of Doolittle by Pixies on 4AD, catalogue number CAD 905. This is the highly sought-after A1/B1 matrix cut, mastered at Masterdisk and pressed in England. Includes the original textured lyric/credits insert featuring Simon Larbalestier’s surreal photography and Vaughan Oliver’s iconic design.
Vinyl condition:
Good overall. Light surface marks on Side B (see photos), but playback is expected to be clean. Side A visually VG. No warping. Labels clean and intact.
Sleeve condition:
Outer sleeve shows signs of aging and mild discolouration, with some spotting inside the sleeve (see close-up photos). Structurally sound with no seam splits. Spine readable.
Insert:
Original 1989 printed insert present — textured stock with full lyrics and artwork. Some edge wear and foxing consistent with age.
Runout etchings:
• Side A: CAD 905 A1
• Side B: CAD 905 B1
