Interestingly, this album sent me down a rabbit hole. There was a band member listed on this 1977 album that was not on the roster of original members on their website ( J.C. Crowley, Peter Beckett, Ronn Moss, John Friesen. Namely Wayne Cook who ended up in Steppenwolf. His keyboarding really shines on this album. This may be the album that escaped the notice of many. The musicality is very good. Not what you would expect from an unknown first album. Besides Wayne Cook, other artisits are listed as contributors that weren't "in the band" technically... but shoot maybe they should have kept them! They were Reed Kailing, Jay Lewis, Gary Coleman, Jim Horn who plays saxophone and flute and there isn't anyone who hasn't used him. he's worked with just about everyone!, Jack White, and Michael Omartian who one three grammys for his work with Christopher Cross. So all this talent put together for this moment in time and wow, It's like a musical time capsule with treasure. It came and went and will never be again. But what a thing it was when they recorded those days in 1977. Songs include: come on out, Baby come back, Goodbye Thats all I ever heard, Melanie, Every which way, This time I'm in it for love, love is where you find it, movin up, cancellation, tryin to write a hit song
