This Large Mono Please Please Me Black/ Gold Label has corrected Northern Song Credits on Side 1 Side 2 has the first pressing Dick James Credits It must have been pressed just on the cusp of the change to Northern Song Credits for the four songs incorrectly given Dick James Credits on 8th March 1963 by George Martin. MT Tax Code to side 2 Matrix Nos XEX 421-1N +XEX 422-1N Mothers 2G and 1M.There is a letter after the 2G Side One which might be H. I wouldn`t say this Record has not been played much at all the Vinyl plays faultlessly + has retained its deep shine Labels are beautiful with no spindle marks The Vinyl shows a couple of very light scratches( non sounding )either side when held to light Its the best condition I have ever seen for one of these Black/Gold pressings + that all comes through in the sound with silent run ins to tracks All parts of Album are original to it. The Sleeve is in excellent + condition with small rub near the Angus McBean credit which is on the far right as it should be with the first batch of sleeves made by E J Day. The back is lovely but the Girl has taped four photos of The Beatles to rear of sleeve which has left residue Its part of its History now and I still have the four photos ( Now detached ) which are included Spine is perfect as is the fold over so often seen now with missing bits This is a remarkable survivor from the first batches made of an Album that was rushed out with the wrong credits and with old fashioned black/gold label more suited to 78`s ! Both versions are rare and less corrected Northern Song versions were pressed than the initial Dick James Version which saw incorrect credits to I Saw Her Standing There, Misery,Do you Want To Know a Secret + Theres a Place. You get the best of both worlds with this Record Side One has Northern Songs corrected Credits and Side Two Uncorrected Dick James Credits. I don`t know how many got out like this but it can only be a handful and this must be one of the best in existence ! No Reserve Posting Immediate Will Post Worldwide boxed with Insurance
