Fourth UK mono pressing to the best of my knowledge.
Firstly, the record:
Visually great. A light sign or two of use with some spindle wear but it has generally aged very well. There is no deep impact damage.
It's fine as it is but would go up a grade with a professional clean.
I've play tested it & it sounds as deep & warm as a good bath like these heavyweight sixties mono copies should. The run ins are quiet, there are no skips or jumps & really not much deterioration in sound quality at all. A lovely example.
Secondly, the sleeve:
Ernest J Day flipback. These are rarer & made of thicker card than their G & L counterparts.
Strong, clean & unmarked with a nice spine. There's a little tape residue. A couple of pin holes in the top corners & the bottom of the flipback has come away a little. Someone has stuck it back with a tiny dot of blue tack & it looks decent enough but if it were mine I might consider using a dab of glue instead.
Not completely pristine in other words but better than most.
