Pogues ORIG OZ LP Rum Sodomy & the lash EX ’85 Stiff L38466 Celtic Folk Rock

Original OZ LP released in 1985 on Stiff Records. Cat: L38466. Comes with printed lyric inner bag which has some light age spots and is in Excellent condition.
"I saw my task... was to capture them in their delapidated glory before some more professional producer f--ked them up," Elvis Costello wrote of his role behind the controls for the Pogues' second album, Rum Sodomy & the Lash. One spin of the album proves that Costello accomplished his mission; this album captures all the sweat, fire, and angry joy that was lost in the thin, disembodied recording of the band's debut, and the Pogues sound stronger and tighter without losing a bit of their edge in the process.

 Tracks : The sick bed of Cuchulainn/ The old main drag/ Wild cats of Kilkennt/ I’m a. amn you don’t meet every day/ A pair of brown eyes/ Sally Maclennane/ Dirty old town/ Jesse James/ Navigator/ Billy’s bones/ The gentleman soldier/ And the band played waltzing matilda.   There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and is in Excellent condition. Cover has a few light marks and is in Excellent condition.


Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
