* CONDITION: Cover - VG++ (slight wear and tear on 5" of the outside hinge cloth of the second set and some wear on the outside corners, otherwise both sets are in excellent condition)

                             Record - VG++ or Better (there is a light crack visible in side 4, but it didn't affect the sound when we test played it and there is a very small chip in the edge of side 35, record 18, but it is in the margin, not in the grooves. Other than this the records are all clean, shiney and scratch and scuff free)  

* ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

          - The set consists of 19 records in two albums. Each record is stored inside a heavy, black paper sleeve with a top flap to keep dust and dirt out and is does so very effectively. 

          -  This rare set, pressed in Italy in 1943, came from the estate of a late music professor here in Connecticut and is in really great condition.

          - This was the first complete recording of Ponchielli's La Gioconda

          - The conductor, Lorenzo Molajoli, was born in 1868 and died in 1939

* GRADING:

     We do our best to follow the Goldmine Standards and grade conservatively:

          M = Mint (We don't use this grade) 

          NM = Near Mint (Shiny, no visible defects in the record. Covers have no creases, ring wear, seam splits, or marks)

          VG+ = Very Good Plus (Record shows slight signs of wear, light scuffs, or very light scratches, slight warp and/or minor signs of handling, none of which affect the listening experience. Cover shows only minor wear, could have a small seam split, 1" or less, cut out marks, etc)

          VG = Very Good (Record has been used, less shiny, light scratches deep enough to be felt with the fingernail, some surface noise, light pops and clicks from scratches, but the record still plays through and sounds good. Covers can have obvious ringwear, seam splits, writing, tags etc.)

          G to VG- = Good to Very Good- (Record is not bad, plays through without skipping, shows wear, has surface noise, but serves as a good filler until a better one comes along. Cover has heavy ring wear, much writing, creases and splits, etc.)
