Description
This is a very rare colored vinyl pressing of U2's Pop from 1997. It was made in the U.K. by EMI for Island Records. It is pressing #449. It is a "Label Promo." Some of the pressings were light blue, this one is pinkish. I don't know how many were pressed in total.
Sleeve and LP are both M-/M-, as I only just opened it and played once on my well cared for turntable. The shrinkwrap is intact on the cardboard outer-sleeve.
The sound is very deep and spacious. However, given that this is a colored pressing, the background is not as empty or quiet as, say, 180 gram virgin vinyl pressed at RTI.
The LP is encased in a white carboard sleeve, with a heavy mylar inner sleeve. The label on the upper lefthand corner features track listing and the pressing number.
Note: Unlike the regular pressing, the entire album was pressed on 1 LP (instead of 2). But all 12 album tracks are here in their entirity.
