Pre-Dog Eldridge Johnson Victor Monarch Record - March

   If you like your discs really old, read on.  Pictured is a pre-dog Victor Monarch 78 RPM disc record.  Its old enough that it has no Nipper trademark and it carries the name of Eldridge R. Johnson.  Quiet old.  This record looks to be in pretty good condition.  I saw no chips, cracks, flat spots, gouged grooves etc.  I played it on an electric phono and considering its age and composition material, it sounded pretty good.  The sound was much stronger than the surface noise.  It is a bit noisy (but not too noisy) for the first 10-15 seconds than it quiets down.  I imagine it would sound better with an old acoustic reproducer rather than a newer electric one.  This record has not been cleaned.  The records title is "Marching Through Georgia" by J.W. Myers.  The number is 3384.  I'm listing 5 of these old Johnson Monarchs tonight.  If you buy more than one I will combine to reduce shipping.  However, before paying, wait until you hear from me with a new total.  Fair enough?  Thanks for taking a peek! 

      A word about my lack of feedback.  I've been a member of eBay for almost 12 years.  However, I haven't sold anything in the last couple.  In that time, eBay revised their feedback policy to, in my mind, the detriment of both buyers and sellers.  I for one no longer believe that a buyers feedback can be counted on as sellers can only leave positive feedback.  Sellers too are at a disadvantage since buyer feedback can be used to hold them "hostage".  I worked long and hard to maintain a perfect feedback record over the years and I have no interest in seeing it being artificially altered.  To that end, I established this new seller I.D. to use for my resumed sales activity.  If you wish to check my true feedback, go to the site map, click view a members feedback and then type in:  lietz.  If you go back a couple of years you will see lots of very happy buyers I've dealt with. 
     Also, used to be I always charged actual shipping costs only.  There was never a "packing" or "handling" fee.  However, with the creation of eBay Buyer Protection (which I thing is a good thing) sellers have had to take some actions to protect themselves.  To that end, I will be adding the cost of "Delivery Confirmation" to any sale shipped via U.S.P.S.  This protects me if a shipment is uninsured and allows the buyer to track the shipment if they so wish.  Lastly, some shipments that are very fragile will have mandatory insurance added, at actual cost.  Thanks for your understanding.
