Description
Vocalion 03132. Released in 1935. Carl Davis with Dallas Jamboree Band. Tracks are:"Flying Crow Blues" and "It May Be My Last Night" Great Pre-War Blues 78.A published biography said Davis was born on March 5, 1886 in Rison, Arkansas. Born and raised on sharecropper farm. Moved to Louisiana to work at singing in the local clubs. Fequently toured with travelling carnivals around 1925 to 1930. Toured with Fat Head Williams. Whereabouts unknown after the 1960's. Details surronding his death remain unknown. The condition is VG+. This grade is based on record playback as well as visual. There is light surface markings that would produce occasional "pop" or "click". There is a very, very slight warp to the disc that is almost impossible to detect and had absolutley no effect on the playback on my table. No bounce to the tonearm or jumping. Both sides played through without skipping. Decent original gloss. Very nice shape for it's age! I have two grades higher that I use which are VG++ and near mint. Shipping insurance will be required on this listing. Thanks for looking!
