Description
It is very important that you read this whole item description section so you can know EXACTLY what you will be buying.
First things first: I AM NOT a collector nor an expert on grading records, but this 78 will be described to the best of my ability...if you have ANY questions please ask BEFORE BIDDING.
Also., I DO NOT own 2 of this same record - what you see in the pictures is what you will be receiving.
This RARE 78 is in nice condition for being 80+ years old. It does have some SURFACE scratches and some rubbing, but both songs play beautifully all the way through with NO ISSUES (issues meaning NO SKIPPING). The sleeve is not original to this 78.
Based on my research, this particular 78 record of FRUIT JAR BLUES by the ALLEN BROTHERS was recorded on VICTOR 23756 & BLUEBIRD RCA VICTOR B-5001 on December 5, 1932 (based on Wikipedia - internet information), but on another site, it says that this particular 78 was recorded in 1933.
Also., this particular 78 of FRUIT JAR BLUES/JAKE WALK BLUES on BLUEBIRD RCA VICTOR is one of the rarest and MOST SOUGHTAFTER records from the Allen Brothers, that if you try to find one for sale, it's almost impossible to find.
What I have here for you is an AWESOME 78 from the Allen Brothers that you will not see again for a good while OR MAYBE NEVER, as this particular 78 record in this label of 'BLUEBIRD' is very,very hard to find.
I don't have audio for this 78, but if you google it, you will be able to see this SAME 78 and will be able to hear both AWESOME songs.
