Description
Prestige Bluesville 1045, “Blues in My Bottle” with Lightnin’ Hopkins, guitar and vocals, from 1962. Original DG vinyl plays at VG++ with very light static that is easily ignorable. There is a slight warp in the vinyl, but so far as I am able to tell it has no effect at all on the sound quality. The heavy laminated jacket has strong seams all around and no corner wearand would be ?NM except form someone’s name in pen at upper left on the back. The jacket back is otherwise basically clean with some aging around the edges. One of Lightnin’s best LPs: tracks include “Buddy Bolden’s Blues”, “Wine Spodee-o”, “Sail On Little Girl”, “DC-7”, “Death Bells”, “Goin’ to Dallas to See My Pony Run”, “Jailhouse Blues”, “Blues in the Bottle”, “Beans, Beans, Beans”, “Catfish Blues”, and “My Grandpa Is Old, Too”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
