PRESTIGE PRLP178 TEDDY CHARLES NEW DIRECTION QUARTET 'Featuring Bob Brookmeyer'
This is an early, collectable 10"LP, by this vibraphone player. The group is completed by Brookmeyer (p/v-tb), Teddy Kotick (b) and Ed Shaughnessy (d). This is a USA pressing with a deep groove red/silver printing label with W50th St. NYC address. The original artwork shows heavily the influence of David Stone Martin

DESCRIPTION/CONDITION : The disc is E- (VG), with some light scratches/scuffs and some general groove wear and slight groove damage, visible under a bright 'grading' light. These have some affect on the playing. The cover is EtoE- (VG+toVG), with a seam split along the whole of the top. There is some rubbing along the bottom, which has developed into a few very small incipient splits. Clear tape has been applied to the spine. The back is clean but there is a lot of annotating in blue ink to the catalogue of discs displayed there (ticks, crossing-out, a few added numerals).
