Description

Rare Screamin' Rock & Roll 45 by Pretty Boy  "Bip Bop Bip" / "Paper Dollar" Atlantic 1147 1957. Pretty Boy aka Donald Randolph aka Don Covay was Little Richards Chauffeur when Paper Dollar was recorded with The Upsetters. Little Richard is not on the 45. The Band agreed to record for a case of Whiskey. They started drinking and quickly finished Paper Dollar but had more time after recording it so they went in another room and wrote Bip Bop Bip while the band continued drinking. They recorded it in one take which fades out because the band continued to play another 15-20 minutes. Info found online per Jay Perri's son.  Record has some small light surface scratches but plays and sounds great on my player. Labels have ring wear. Comes with original sleeve.
