When these discs I'm currently listing were originally released (1964 -1970 approx) they were basically just termed 'pop' music. In later decades they have been categorised into different genres by some, ie Freakbeat , Psychedelic , Mod , Garage and more. Most folks have their own interpretation and opinions on what is what, which is which, plus there was a natural crossover/merging of styles through those years. You know what you're looking at, so don't necessarily accept my titles as being 100% accurate.
For auction here is this 45 / single (vinyl) copy of Defecting Grey / Mr Evasion by (the) Pretty Things on the Columbia label DB 8300. It comes complete with the company bag/sleeve.
I have played it through a couple of times and it plays all the way through without jumping or getting stuck anywhere, but there is a scratch on the A Side about 2/3 of the way in (visible in photo 3), which causes a succession of repetitive clicks from approximately 2:43 to the end. There is also light surface noise (crackling and some sound deterioration) on both sides, though mainly on the B- Side. There are very light, wispy marks and scratches to the vinyl, as well as the deeper, visible scratch already mentioned. The vinyl is a lot shinier than my photos suggest (rubbish camera and useless photographer).
There is a pen mark on the label on Side 1 and on Side 2 (A name near the spindle hole on S1 and the numbers 2 & 3 on S2  - See the pics using the magnifying tool).
The company bag is fine, minor handling marks, storage wear, creasing, but no splits on the edges. Much as you see it in my photos.
One fan online described this single as  --   Arguably the greatest and maddest UK psychedelic 45 of them all: 4 or 5 or maybe 6 zonked tunes welded deftly into an intense hallucinogenic roller coaster ride, with backwards sitars, fairground organs, pastoral trippiness and industrial strength corrosion fuzz blasts, all in the space of around 4 apocalyptic life-changing minutes. And the acid dazzled lyrics veer from playful to surreal to darkly disturbed without batting a heavily stoned eyelid. 

Grab this bastard on 45, or a comp, or even better, as a bonus on their SF Sorrow masterpiece and your life will be transformed.
