PRETTY THINGS -PARACHUTE - 1970
Harvest (no EMI) SHVL 774A2. On B side numbers changed from 744 to 774 B2
We have finally decided to clear out our old albums as we have no way of listening to them anymore they have been stored unopened or used for about 30 years....! The last record we remember buying was Dire Straits Making Movies album which I will be listing eventually.
We have very differing tastes in music so there is a huge range from Michael Chapman, Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, John Renbourn, The Who, Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood, Joan Armatrading..... all sorts really. Over the next few weeks I'll be listing most of them and hoping that they will again bring some pleasure to somebody.
I know nothing about the 'correct way' of describing their condition and can only tell it as I see it. Please bear in mind that these records were not bought as collectors items but to be used and enjoyed, some more so than others! Neither of us can remember any of them being jumpy or scratched, but 30 years is a long time and as I said I've no way of checking how they play now, I am assessing them by eye only!
Gatefold laminated cover is in ok condition, slight wear on the bottom where it sat on the shelf in the past. The glue has given up on the top front of the sleeve, there are the remains of a label on top left. There is old sticky tape across the top of the back of the sleeve. Inner picture style sleeve is in good condition. The record would benefit from a good clean, there are marks but I've no way of checking if they alter the play.
