Brilliant original copy of the Pretties’ masterpiece from 1968.
Original 1968 stereo EMI/Columbia SCX 6306; pre-dating Tommy by many months, was this the first ‘rock opera’? Whatever, it’s the moment the hardest of hard 60s British R&B bands went truly prog. It worked.

On 25-May-04 at 12:16:32 BST, seller added the following information: This album was purchased in 1969. At time of placing with eBay, and to the best of my knowledge, it is an original. It does not, however, have the Columbia blue/black label. The label consists of a black roundel, a white Columbia logotype with a silver/grey border, and silver/grey type. Apologies if any bidder assumed this was a blue/black. My assumption was that, given its 1969 purchase date, it was a first-press from 1968.
