- All of our used records are play-graded and come in a protective outer-sleeve.
CONDITION DETAILS HYPE-STICKER on front. Import from UK & Europe. Made in Germany. Vinyl plays nicely, except for some light-crackles during parts of side 2 (play-graded). Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; very light-scuffing, tiny surface abrasions, and surface impressions (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (poly-lined paper with photos/lyrics/credits). Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear. Some shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Top-edge has text and is mostly easy-to-read. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a few divots. (Not a cut-out.)
ABOUT THE RECORD Batman is the eleventh studio album by American recording artist Prince and is the soundtrack album to the 1989 film Batman. It was released on June 20, 1989 by Warner Bros. Records and peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S. It also featured five singles, two of which were in the top 10: Batdance (No. 1) and Scandalous (No. 5). As a Warner Bros. stablemate, Prince's involvement in the soundtrack was designed to leverage the media company's contract-bound talent as well as fulfill the artist's need for a commercial (if not critical) revival. The result was yet another multi-platinum successful cross-media enterprise by Warner Bros., in the vein of Purple Rain. The album was No. 1 on the Billboard album chart for six consecutive weeks. It has sold over eleven million copies worldwide.
