Product/Provenance

Damn U was the fourth single to be released from Prince's 14th album Symbol. The single was released on the same day as the album's third single 7.

The version of Damn U included on the single is not labeled as an edit, since the musical track is included in full; it does not include the spoken segue which follows it on the album version, meaning this version of the song is unique to this release.

The single reached number 108 on the US Billboard Bubbling Under The Hot 100 Chart, but reached number 32 on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles Chart. It had minimal success which contributes to its rarity today.


This the US 12” promo with unique picture sleeve, the single was only released on this format as a promo.

Sleeve - Excellent, the sleeve is crisp and sharp, the colours are bright like new, free of any splits, rips or tears. The sleeve has some minor creasing along the edge line preventing a top grade.

Vinyl - Mint, unplayed, sparkling condition.

Labels- Mint, Beautiful colouration, Like new.

This rare release with the great image of prince on the sleeve is present here with the vinyl in MINT condition, Investment piece.
