Prince Far I - Showcase In A Suitcase


Very rare and desirable Reggae Vinyl LP.


Original 'PRE' pressing.


Vinyl: G+ : A well marked disc signifying lots of play wear. Wispy hairlines, scuffs and a few more noticeable marks to both sides. Many are light, others will cause some level of audio effect (ticks, pops etc.) upon playback. I did play the album in its entirety and found that it played through fine (no skips or sticks) but did have noticeable background noise throughout every track. The surface noise was present to a greater or lesser degree depending on where the track was located on the disc (as some areas are more 'marked' than others). To my ears, it still sounded reasonable - sound was punchy and held a great dynamic range. As already noted, however, the music was always surrounded by some level of crackle. For a casual listen, I suspect this will still be appropriate, but please do not expect it to play without some level of surface noise. It is well-used copy, and should be bought on this understanding.


Cover: VG+ : Cover holds well with no major defects; only some signs of age-related wear such as light foxing around the edges and some mild discolouration. Overall, this is still a very presentable cover, and a great example for what is naturally a delicate cover. Please study the photos and see for yourself.
