Product/Provenance
I Wanna Be Your Lover was the first single from Prince's second album Prince, and was released in August 1979, two months prior to the album's release. It was his third single release to date.
The b-side included is Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad!
The single was a huge hit reaching number 1 on the US Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart, number 3 in the Billboard Disco 100 chart and number 11 in the Billboard Hot 100.
It was certified Gold by RIAA on 18 March 1980, indicating a million copies shipped.
Condition (See Photos) Please Note there is some lens flare/glare on the pictures producing fade, especially on the label pictures. The labels text is clean bright and bold, not faded as the pictures depict.
Sleeve - Excellent, lovely condition. Some very light wear prevents a top grade.
Vinyl - Excellent, some evidence of use, with light surface marks prevents a higher grade.
Labels - Excellent, some light wear again prevents a higher grade, although the spindle is clear and true with no deterioration.
Conservatively graded, a nice example.
