Unique item: the East African press of Prince’s Purple Rain LP! Distuinguished by other pressings by its slightly ‘off’ colours (most likely caused by the reproduction process of photographing the original sleeve and using that as a master in the offset printing chain) and the mention of 'Top In Town Printing Works’ on the back, the company that used to print the majority of Kenyan record sleeves throughout the 1980s.Prince - Purple Rain Label: WB Records 1-25110 Matrix/runout: 561 1-2STIID 12-2 Country: Kenya

Correction to the text above: this LP (unlike Prince's other Kenyan release which I am also selling, '1999') does not feature the text 'Top in town printing works' on the back. However, the paper, faded colours and budget printing technique are similar to other Kenyan releases from the era which were printed by Top in town. Also, the hype sticker on the cover is actually printed on the sleeve. See image of the back which I added.
