Up for sale is the ultimate crown jewel of 1980s music memorabilia: the original, vintage 7" Shaped Picture Disc of Prince & The Revolution’s magnum opus, "Purple Rain." This limited edition release is custom-cut into the world-famous silhouette of Prince on his iconic motorcycle.

In 1984, Purple Rain didn't just top the charts—it defined a generation. To match the cinematic scale of the project, Warner Bros. created this breathtaking, custom die-cut vinyl. Shaped precisely around the album's most enduring image—The Kid on his midnight-purple motorcycle—this disc is widely regarded as an absolute masterpiece of vinyl art.
Because of the intricate, complex shape of the die-cut edges, many of these 80s discs suffered from severe warping, edge clipping, or yellowing over the decades. This specific copy has been beautifully preserved in Excellent [EX] condition. The colors are vivid, the shape is perfectly flat, and it is ready to be the stunning centerpiece of any high-end Prince collection or wall display.
CONDITION
Vinyl Status: EXCELLENT [EX]. The die-cut motorcycle shape is completely intact, beautiful, and flat. Excellent visual preservation with minimal signs of aging.
Sleeve Note: Housed safely in a brand-new, clean generic PVC sleeve (Does not include the original vintage plastic sleeve with the hype sticker).

*SEALED (S)*: Both media and case are still in original factory shrink-wrap, unopened. All parts are assumed to be in Mint condition unless otherwise stated.
*MINT (M)*: Media is in brand new condition (but not necessarily sealed). No surface marks or deterioration. Case and all extras (inserts, posters, etc.) are in pristine condition.
*NEAR MINT (NM)*: Media looks brand new with no scuffing. Only the smallest hint that it has ever been handled. Case and extras are clean, crisp, and without wear.
*EXCELLENT (EX)*: Media shows very light signs of use but maintains high audio/visual quality. NO sticks or skips. Case and extras might show very light wear or creasing, but no cuts or split seams.
*VERY GOOD (VG)*: Media has been used but displays no major deterioration. May show surface marks or occasional light surface noise/crackles, but no skips. Case may show noticeable wear, creasing, or minor discoloration.
