Description
A fantastic chance to own the rare Warner Bros UK 12" at around 8 minutes 45 in length only ever released in the UK. The original 4.18 version appeared on his 1979 self titled LP (also containing "I Wanna Be Your Lover" and "I Feel For You") and as a 7" single. Considering he was only 21 at the time of release and played all the instruments as well as writing and producing it, this shows his pure genius! It gave a taste of the whole Minneapolis/Time/Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis/NPG sound to come.The vinyl plays great with no obvious crackles or pops and is rated VG+/Near Mint. Kept since new in a pet and smoke free home in minimal light. The cover is in excellent condition but as can be seen there is green writing on the A side and both sides have some small spots, hence the lower than expected price. In my opinion this is the ORIGINAL version that was then edited down for the LP and 7" single. If you like Prince or just a piece of old skool funky pop music history this is essential!
