Description
THIS IS AN OFFICIAL PROMOTIONAL RELEASE
On this day 18/02 in 1987, Prince released the single "Sign o' the Times." The political, provocative track was the first to be released after Prince disbanded the Revolution, and it came out just six weeks before the critically lauded double album Sign o' the Times.
Product/Provenance
Sign O' The Times was the first single to be released from Prince's ninth album the incredible Sign O' The Times, as stated released six weeks before the album. The B side, La, La, La, He, He, Hee, was previously-unreleased.
This is the white label UK promo with the typeface text used for the album and associated singles, only the UK promo contained this detail, making the vinyl labels unique to this issue.
Condition (See photos)
Sleeve - Mint, original generic plain white sleeve in lovely condition, examples how well the record has been looked after. The sleeve was originally issued in two colours, plain black and plain white. The black sleeve being the first wave of issue.
Vinyl - Mint, UNPLAYED
Labels - Side 1, N Mint - some ageing is present above “Prince” hence the grading, I am being very fastidious here. Side 2, Mint, like new.
Sign O’ The Times is an iconic track, a cultural classic. This UK Promo Vinyl is in wonderful condition, the minor ageing prevents a complete MINT grade!
