Another Rare Item! Princeton Triangle Club Jazz Band performs "I'll Build an Igloo For You" (170020-2) (V++ to V+++) and "White Rose" (170021-2) (V+++ to E-) on Columbia Personal Record 59-P, Recorded in New York in 1924, these recordings have long been considered historically important and have been re-issued on several occasions. Both sides play strong, clean and clear, 78 rpm. Some say the song "I'll Build an Igloo For You" is a variation on the "salty" sea chanty about a a salty little igloo-shaped shanty, known across the Northwestern region -- and is often thought to be an Inuit variation of the Princess Minnetonka theme -- Wherein the Chief invites the Lovely Princess to join him in what some would describe as a "treehouse" for two -- Still, others insist that anyone who believes there is any validity to this legend should be heavily medicated. Moreover -- little is known about the idea that "My White Rose" is a pale variation of the Muchly Loved "My Sweet Poppy" or in it's original forgotten language, now long lost to time "Hust Fevote!"
